Random moment

A random moment from the VCU Men's Soccer team this past weekend.  It was raining the entire game, but the couple infront of us had me giggling.  Does anyone else think of Benny and Lily when they see this pic?

Oh, Paul......

While Mr. B at Two Pitties in the City is afraid of cats, Paul thinks, "I can take 'em!"  Evidence of this can be found presently on my left wrist:

By the way, Paul is presently nudging at it trying to get me to pet him with my left hand.  He hasn't figured out yet that trying to type with this thing is difficult enough without someone nudging it.  *sigh*

So, the stray cat in our neighborhood, AKA, "Paul's Arch Enemy" was strolling through the neighbor's front yard on Saturday while I had Paul and Annie out for a bathroom break in the front yard.  Annie was done and part way in the house.  Paul was finishing up and about to come in when he spotted Purple.

Off he went in pursuit of Purple with my arm attached to his leash.  Clearly, my wrist wasn't happy with Paul's idea.  In 10 days, I'll have my left arm back, in the mean time, as Myron Cope used to say, "Yoi!"

Chilling with the Pups

This was one of those weekends I love: cool temps, time to hang with the hubbs, and no where major to be at any time.  We just spent the weekend hanging out and chilling.
We sniffed some flowers in Carrytown.

Slept in/napped
And Snuggled

Rolling with Paul

Ah, fall, the end of the horribly hot temperatures, the begging of school.  And, for us, the beginning of geese migration.  They like to land in the parking lot across the street from us, and when I take Paul walking over that way, he can't help but do his favorite thing: Roles in pooo

Clean Pants

Believe it or not, these were my clean black dress pants this morning.  I powdered Annie and Paul's monthly dose of Comfortis to kill any left over bugs they could have and Annie managed to share some of her peanut butter yogurt with my clean black pants.

The Couch

We have our dream couch.  The Hubbs sits on it each time we're at the dog mall and won't move for about 5 minutes.  We know we can't afford it, there's no place to put it in our house (unless we take out a window to get it in the house) and it would be off limits to A&P.

What we have is an IKEA Ektorp sofa.  It's comfy and well worn Annie and Paul spend a great amount of time making themselves comfortable on it.  I've been told it's "disposable furniture".  However, I don't care when we have dog hair all over it.  It's easily washable when Annie or Paul has an accident on it.

With Annie's recent trip to the vet for anti itch meds and her frequent urination, I'm happy we've only spent $500 on a couch and not $3,000.

Saturday Morning

We spent Friday Night in downtown Richmond yelling at soccer players.  First the VCU Men's Soccer team as they took on UNM.

Then to Gus's to yell at the US soccer team.  Back to a friends house to eat pizza and home at 2 am.

This is how we woke up with Paul on Saturday Morning:

Happy weekend.

The Dog Mall: Electronics

The Hubbs and I had to laugh this weekend when we took Annie and Paul to Stoney Point (aka, The Dog Mall) for a few hours.  While walking along the main promenade (yea, it's an upscale mall) we saw this 4 wheeled thing come out of Brookstone.
     Paul decided to follow it.
There is a certain amount of comrodery from the people who work together at the dog mall as this contained a note for 2 cups of water with ice from Teavana.  The woman working at Teavana giggled over the note.  And I was a very happy Mom that Paul only followed it and didn't try to eat it for a snack.

Another school year

The Hubbs and I are both tied in for another school year.  The hubbs heads for grad school each day at VCU, and I head off for a day with K-5.  Ready or not, here it is!!
